1,000 Truths: the many realities of secondary breast cancer
There are an estimated 61,000 men and women in the UK living with secondary breast cancer: a cancer that has spread beyond the breast to other parts of the body. Every month, 1,000 people will lose their lives to this incurable disease.
They leave behind a trail of stories untold, voices unheard, and deeply cherished connections. These stories cannot go unheard.
This Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM), we are shining a light on the many realities of living with secondary breast cancer by sharing stories of 1,000 Truths. These are stories from mothers, daughters, fathers, sons, friends, and colleagues. From professionals who support, comfort, and care.
By highlighting the many truths of living with secondary breast cancer, we can together raise vital awareness about this incurable disease, amplify voices that should be heard, and connect a community so that they feel supported and hopeful.
