Volunteers play a vital role at Make 2nds Count! From cheering on a marathon runner or handing out important literature to raise awareness at events, to being an M2C Community Ambassador or volunteering in our Edinburgh-based office, there are lots of ways that you can help.
Whether it's hours or days you are able to give, and whether you are living with secondary (metastatic) breast cancer or not, we'd love your support. Our Volunteer Information Pack enables you to get an idea of how you can help.
Become a Make 2nds Count Community Ambassador
Our Community Ambassadors play a huge part in the success of the work we do to raise important awareness about secondary breast cancer and generate vital funds. All our Ambassadors live with secondary breast cancer and their lived experience helps to shape our strategy and services.
As a group, we meet together virtually every other month to discuss upcoming projects, activities and events. Many of our Ambassadors host our regional Tea & Chat support groups that provide important spaces for people to meet together, share experiences and build friendships.
"I am so proud to be an Ambassador for Make 2nds Count. I have been involved in fundraising activities, as well as helping to raise awareness of the charity. It's played an enormous part in giving me hope, increased my confidence and I have also made several amazing friends who just ‘get each other’."
