Create an ENCORE space to store your stories and memories for your loved ones
We are delighted to be one of the charities chosen to partner with For My ENCORE - an online site that creates a digital ‘time capsule’ where anyone can share their personal stories, messages, and memories, and shape how they are remembered.
Founder Nick Annetts lost his own mum to secondary breast cancer and felt that although he was looked after financially, he was left with nothing emotional to remember her by.
For My Encore was created as a structured way to leave an emotional legacy that goes beyond traditional social media. From the movies you like, to the songs that have yuo dancing, users can capture their best moments from childhood, teenage years and adulthood. The platform also allows people to record private messages for future milestones such as birthdays, weddings, and anniversaries up to 10 years in advance, offering guidance and encouragement to loved ones.
"A will divides what you own, an ENCORE shares who you are.”
Sophie Blake, who is part of our secondary breast cancer community, shares in this video why the ENCORE initiative is so empowering and special. “Although I plan to stick around for some time yet, I’d been thinking a lot about how I could leave my story behind - for Maya, my mum, nieces, future grandkids and close friends. The emotional part of me was exactly what I wanted to get down, and this new platform makes it all possible.”
Creating your Encore
The platform uses guided questions to help users revisit treasured moments and shape the
‘Encore’ of their lives. These digital reflections are securely stored and shared only after the individual’s passing, creating a lasting “Encore” that helps loved ones navigate loss while celebrating a life fully lived.
With every paid for 10-year subscription, ENCORE will make a £10 donation to Make 2nds Count. There is also a free one-year option.
We have been given a special code that will give you a 25% discount to the subscription fee - quote 'COUNT' at the checkout.
