Being diagnosed with secondary breast cancer and coping with treatment plans can put pressure on not only your physical health but also your mental health and wellbeing. Our Wellbeing Programme has been designed to help patients’ wellbeing – whether through nutrition, fitness, complementary treatments or mindfulness.

We are delighted to launch a new Wellbeing programme for 2026. The concept is simple: weekly for movement, fortnightly for mind, monthly for wellness.

OUR PROGRAMME IS OPEN TO ANYONE LIVING WITH SECONDARY BREAST CANCER IN THE UK AND REPUBLIC OF IRELAND ONLY

Weekly Movement & Mobility: Maintaining function and building strength through regular exercise

Yoga

We are delighted to continue our partnership with Birdsong Yoga Physio to provide physio-led yoga sessions for the secondary breast cancer community, funded by the Karen Legacy Fund.

Yoga has been proven to help patients with breathing, flexibility and pain management.

We have two online classes every week - Tuesday evenings at 8pm and Friday mornings at 10am.

To join any of the sessions, please email Yvonne on the button below.

Fortnightly for Mind: Managing the psychological impact

Being Kind to your Mind and Breathwork, Meditation & Relaxation

We are really pleased that Louisa Rasmussen from BreatheBalanceBe will be continuing her Breathwork and mindfulness sessions with us online.

"Breathwork and practising being in the present can be very beneficial for those with a SBC diagnosis. I have found both to be hugely helpful practices in my personal journey since diagnosis in April 2017. Our breathing patterns send messages to our body and minds therefore changing our breath can change how we feel, as well as helping us with pain, fatigue and other symptoms that come with treatment. The science of being kind to our mind and practicing gratitude shows that it can help our mental and emotional health which is impacted greatly after a life event, such as being diagnosed with incurable cancer."

Twice a month Louisa will host sessions for us:

FIRST Wednesday of each month, midday.

Breathwork, Meditation & Relaxation

THIRD Wednesday of each month, midday.
