My Life, My Way: There’s no one way to live with secondary breast cancer

Living with a secondary breast cancer diagnosis is emotionally, mentally and physically gruelling for the estimated 61,000 people in the UK living with this disease. My Life, My Way celebrates the stories of how life continues beyond diagnosis — on individual terms. This community-focused campaign will include stories that might celebrate a life being lived.

The campaign deliberately avoids a single narrative of positivity or resilience. Instead, it offers permission: to live well on your own terms, in ways that change over time. Alongside empowering the patient community, the campaign will raise wider public awareness of secondary breast cancer through regional case studies, helping to humanise the disease and challenge assumptions.
