By leaving a gift in your Will to Make 2nds Count, you will be helping us continue our work of giving hope to those affected by secondary breast cancer.

Make 2nds Count's vision is to help people with secondary (metastatic) breast cancer live longer and better lives. By leaving a gift in your Will, you will be helping to fund our support programmes and important secondary breast cancer medical research that contribute to advancing an increased quality of life for our community. Together, we are giving hope to men and women across the UK who are living with this disease.

Why should you have a will?

Whilst nobody wants to think about the end of their life, most of us would like to make sure that our wishes are followed. A will makes sure that your property, money and possessions, go where you want them to. It also cuts down on the cost of winding up an estate as estates without wills can be expensive and complicated to administer. It’s important for us all, young and old to have our affairs in order.

How do I leave a gift in my will?

There are a few things to consider when creating your will:

  • Find a local solicitor to help with putting your will together. Go with someone you feel comfortable with.
  • Find out how much your estate is worth (including your property, savings, pensions etc)
  • Think about who you will be including (family members, friends etc) and who will be the overall ‘executor’ of your estate/will when you’re gone
  • Think about what you would like to leave to your chosen charity

For you to leave a gift to Make 2nds Count, you/your solicitor will need to add a short paragraph into your will expressing your wish to do so. You can do this yourself but we do recommend using a solicitor to help you.

Including us in your will is so straightforward

Provide your Solicitor or Will writer with Make 2nds Count details.
