Make 2nds Count is aware that founder Lisa Fleming has spoken on social media about legal action she has brought against the charity. The charity will not comment about the active tribunal other than to confirm that we refute all aspects of the claim.
Lisa and Euan Fleming chose to step down from the board in May 2022; however, a board seat remains open for the Founders in perpetuity. In October 2022, Lisa chose to resign from her paid advisor role with the charity. A statement was released outlining Lisa’s decision – here.
The Board of Trustees and the Make 2nds Count team would like to reassure the Secondary Breast Cancer community of our continued commitment to carrying forward the mission of education, research and support. To date in 2023, we have been able to expand our PTA service, award funding for secondary breast cancer research, launch a patient-focused clinical trials database, and facilitate more online and in-person patient groups and retreats.
