The Clinical Trials Service is a free information and support service, here to help secondary breast cancer patients explore clinical trials as part of their treatment pathway.
Mel is a specialist oncology nurse with over 20 years experience in secondary breast cancer and clinical trials.
Finding the right information about eligible clinical trials can be challenging. We can answer questions about how clinical trials work and how to get involved no matter where you live in the UK, and conduct a personalised trials database search on your behalf.
"Patients have come to me not knowing anything about trials and leave feeling informed and empowered to have important conversations with their care team about potential new treatment options."
Our Clinical Trials Service is confidential and we are happy to support you in discussing trials options with your clinical team too, if you wish.
If you are living in the UK with secondary breast cancer and want to find out more, please complete the form on the button below.

Sponsor our Clinical Trials Nurse
We've launched our Big Give appeal to raise £5,000 in seven days — and thanks to The Big Give, it will be doubled!
That’s £10,000 to fund 80 sessions with our Clinical Trials Nurse, Mel. These sessions help people living with secondary breast cancer navigate the world of clinical trials and explore potential new treatment options.
Once we have met the £5,000 target, any donations can continue to be added to the pot for additional appointments but they won't be matched.
Please give what you are able: https://tinyurl.com/ye733862

How clinical trials work
Clinical trials are regulated and scientifically-based medical research studies. They aim to find new or better treatments, or look at using existing treatments in different combinations. Finding the right trial can contribute to advancing an increased quality of life for those living with secondary breast cancer.
