Important Updates

"It’s an understatement to say that being diagnosed with secondary breast cancer was a massive shock. I felt very much alone and in a unique situation as knew very little about the disease and knew no-one who had experience of the diagnosis. I discovered Make 2nds Count and found a community who felt as I did and offered the support, knowledge and positivity I needed. I therefore want to ensure that those going through this ‘rollercoaster’ of a ride in the Bath Area can meet, chat and where possible laugh and enjoy the company of others who understand.

Come join me at this new Tea and Chat group."

Carol, Tea & Chat Bath host & Charity Ambassador.

“Following a de novo metastatic breast cancer diagnosis in March 2025, I discovered the Make 2nds Count charity through my breast care nurse. After joining the private 2nds Together Facebook group - a safe space, where I was struck by the knowledge and support the members of the group offered - I took it one step further and went along to the in-person Tea & Chat group, held at The Bear in Bath.

There’s a reason peer support groups work. When you’re with people who truly get it, you don’t have to justify how you feel or provide any context – the shared experience does that for you. The bond is instant, and effortless.

A positively warm welcome awaits you at our relaxed, supportive group, where conversations and top tips on everything - from treatment side effects to travel insurance, and everything in between - flow freely.”
