Tea & Chat Suffolk

We're delighted to be joining forces with passionate local patients & charity ambassadors, Kelly Carson & Tracy Connolly, to establish a regular monthly, in personTEA & CHAT meet up group for secondary breast cancer patients in Suffolk.

Our support groups give patients the chance to share experiences and advice, and forge new friendships.

Our meetings will usually take place on the FOURTH Monday of each month 10.30am - 12.30pm

Edmunds Restaurant, West Suffolk College, Out Risbygate, Bury St Edmunds,

Bury Saint Edmunds IP33 3RL

We ask for one registration per year and once registered you can attend one or more of the group meetings that year.

"When I was diagnosed with incurable cancer, I didn’t fully understand my diagnosis and I believed I was going to die imminently.
Through the Make 2nds Count '2nds Together' online community, I have learned so much and virtually met some incredible people who have taught me it’s not the immediate death sentence I first thought it was.
I want the opportunity to provide a safe space for others living with secondary cancer, a space to share experiences and form friendships so we no longer have to feel alone.
A face to face group for me is something I have been searching for since diagnosis, since there isn’t one in Suffolk, I thought why not create one! "

"I was diagnosed straight to MBC in July 2024,
I was scared and didn’t know how I was going to cope, I really needed hope, and I went looking on Facebook for support groups and found Make 2nds Count, from there I found Kelly and the Suffolk tea & chat, it has been a game changer for me and how I cope, I want to become an ambassador and co-host tea & chat to help Kelly build our group and make sure anyone in our position, local to us knows where to find us and hopefully give others the hope and friendship I have found".
