Anne Blacklock from Cheshire is one of Make 2nds Count Ambassadors and is the host of our Tea and a Chat group in Manchester. Anne decided to organise a Cabaret Show in aid of Make 2nds Count in the hope of raising £3,000.00.
The idea was to organise a Musical Cabaret Show provided by KMTC, Knutsford Musical Theatre Group, which included a 3 course meal for guests. Anne arranged for the show to take place at Rainhill Hall Hotel, a beautiful Country House Hotel between Manchester and Liverpool. Rainhill Hall were very kind to sponsor Anne the venue space to allow Anne to make as much as possible for Make 2nds Count.
The sell out show took place on Saturday 30th September 2023. As well as the entertainment from KMTC there was also entertainment from Hannah Gilmore and Claire Cannon who got the room up dancing the night away after the show. Anne managed to raise an amazing £3,347.00 for Make 2nds Count, we caught up with Anne after the event, here is what she had to say;
‘M2C has done so much for me that I wanted to give back. With the support of family & friends we had a spectacular evening at Rainhill Hall. A wonderful musical cabaret by KMTC, followed by the talented Claire & Hannah’s powerhouse vocals getting the room up dancing and a delicious 3 course dinner. Making memories is so important to me and to be able to raise much needed funds whilst also spending time with those I hold so close to my heart made this event one I will never forget’.
