Cancer Support is an independent charity with centres in Bradford, Skipton and Wakefield. We provide practical and emotional support to those affected by a cancer diagnosis and our aim is to provide as much or as little support as you feel you need. At our centres we can help with practical issues like information, transport and welfare rights advice. Emotional support is provided through our counselling, complementary therapies and a range of classes, courses and support groups. Our Image Solutions personalised service is available to help you feel more confident if you are coping with hair loss through chemotherapy treatments and we hold regular classes to help with make-up tips and skin care which can offer a welcome diversion for many. Plus they are a great way to meet other people who understand exactly what you are going through. Peer Support groups and CNS led Support groups are held in our Centres which enable people to learn more about issues that affect them and to chat with others in a similar position. Our team of dedicated volunteer drivers are on hand to take people to cancer related hospital appointments and to use our Centres.
